Dear Friends,
We get a lot of emails asking us about ayahuasca, especially seeking our advice about where to go to experience this medicine.
By way of a disclaimer, we do not diagnose, prescribe for, or treat disease. We cannot and will not answer questions about your health, other than to suggest that you see a qualified health care practitioner who can help you. Nor do we take any responsibility for what you may or may not experience, should you choose to drink ayahuasca. This is your choice alone. We provide information as a service.
To begin, we recommend that you read The Ayahuasca Test Pilots handbook, The Essential Guide to Ayahuasca Journeying. This guide will answer most of your questions regarding ayahuasca.
Regarding centers, we have experience at the ayahuasca retreat centers listed on our Recommended Ayahuasca Retreats page. All of these centers are in the Peruvian Amazon, where ayahuasca is legal and treasured, and we think they do a fine job.
We explicitly do not recommend that you seek ayahuasca ceremonies in the US, as ayahuasca is illegal here, as is its use.
Also, WE DO NOT LEAD RETREATS.
Should you choose to experience ayahuasca, do your homework, become informed, and select wisely.
Happy Trails,
Medicine Hunter
